How to be a Chinese Lantern

I was happy to illustrate a poem "How to be a Chinese Lantern" by S.A. Leavesley for an amazing literary magazine "Popshot" (the "Light" issue #18).

Before that glow dies, spark another
and another until those around you
rise too, lifted upwards, onwards –
 
this lit flotilla of lanterns
floating stronger, higher, freer.
